Death Recovery Companion
Look for Gravetails in open grasslands near Dodo habitats. Their spawns are additive. Knock one out and tame it with Gravetail Kibble for best results, or Spoiled Meat for a slower tame. Keep it alive on your shoulder when you die to trigger recovery; returned items are stored in its inventory.
Recovery requires a living Gravetail on your shoulder at death. It cannot recover again, be picked up or be cryopodded while sleeping. It eats Spoiled Meat once tamed.

- Automatic recovery of recoverable inventory, hotbar, armour and cosmetic items
- Returns belongings after you respawn
- Deathrunner’s Recovery sleep prevents consecutive recoveries
- Rage activates below 25% health, boosting speed and damage
- Additive wild spawns alongside existing creatures
Getting started
- Install mod 1680224 through the ASA mod browser or server mod list.
- Find a Gravetail in open grasslands and use knockout taming.
- Feed it and carry it on your shoulder before heading into danger.
