3D Model Library 0.2.3 — update notifications
ASA Manager-style update checks, an update banner, optional Windows notifications and checksum-verified installer downloads.
TBB Model Library now uses the same website release feed approach as ASA Manager. It checks after your catalogue opens and every six hours while the app remains open. Settings > App updates also provides Check now and preferences for automatic checks and optional Windows desktop notifications. Desktop notifications start off; the in-app update banner works without them.
When a newer release is available, choose View changes, Download update or Remind me later. Remind me later pauses that release’s reminder for six hours. Download update lets you choose where to save the Windows installer, then checks its SHA-256 checksum and installer header before keeping the file. The app does not launch the installer automatically.
TO UPDATE FROM 0.2.2 OR EARLIER
Download v0.2.3 from the app page, close TBB Model Library and run Setup over the existing installation. Those earlier versions do not contain the update notifier, so this is a one-time manual download. Once v0.2.3 is installed, it can notify you about future published releases.
Your catalogue folders, tags, notes, favourites and cached previews are kept. Source models stay where they are. The catalogue format and Blender renderer are unchanged. If the website or your connection is unavailable, the update status says Couldn’t check and you can keep using the local library.
VALIDATION
The x64 host and installer were compiled against Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 reference assemblies. Update logic and interface checks passed, including rejected downloads and reopening a v0.2.2 catalogue unchanged. Native Windows execution of the updater dialogs and desktop notifications still needs checking on a Windows PC.
