3D Model Library 0.2.5 — updates open Setup automatically

From v0.2.5, choose Download & install when a newer release is available. The app saves the installer in its own update cache, verifies its SHA-256 checksum and Windows installer header, then opens Setup and closes Model Library. You no longer need to find the downloaded EXE inside AppData. Setup waits up to 30 seconds for the app to finish closing before continuing.

If there are unsaved tags, notes or library settings, you can cancel the handover and keep working. Save your edits, then choose Install update. The cached installer is checked again immediately before launch. If the installer cannot be started, the app stays open.

GET THIS UPDATE

Versions 0.2.4 and earlier still use the earlier save-only updater. Download v0.2.5, close Model Library and run its installer once. This enables the new launch step for future updates. You can get the installer directly from the app page, or use the older app’s Download update action and run the saved EXE manually for this one update.

The normal setup wizard remains, so follow its steps and use Open TBB Model Library on the final page. Background update checks do not silently install releases. Your catalogue, folders, tags, notes, favourites and previews are kept.

VALIDATION

The Windows host and NSIS installer compile successfully. Forty-one updater checks and interface checks passed, including rejected installers and retaining unsaved edits when cancelling. The actual Windows handover from the running app into Setup still needs a native Windows test.
