TBB Backup 0.4.1: first public Windows release

TBB Backup is now available: three backup methods, verified recovery, version notes and organised job cards, with a branded Windows web installer.

TBB Backup 0.4.1 is my first public release of the Windows backup app.

Choose Normal folders for familiar copies, ZIP for one complete archive per backup, or Space-saving versions to share unchanged file contents across versions. Named jobs, exclusions and SHA-256 checks help keep each backup organised.

Restore provides a folder browser, file search, version timeline and selected-file recovery into a new folder. Optional patch versions, multiline notes and pinned milestones help you recognise important working versions.

Job cards now collapse, save their order and support dragging above or below another card. Up/down buttons provide precise ordering. The sidebar, app icon, orange scrollbars and Windows installer use TBB branding.

## Install
Download the branded web installer from the [TBB Backup app page](/apps/tbb-backup). First installation needs internet to download a verified private Python runtime automatically. No separate Python installation or manual extraction is needed. Windows 10/11 x64, Microsoft Edge WebView2 and the Windows .NET Framework are required.

Close an older TBB Backup window before upgrading. Existing jobs and backup repositories remain compatible.

## Current limits
Schedules need the app to stay open. Retention limits listed version indexes but does not yet reclaim old backup data. There is no background Windows backup service, encryption or live system snapshot support.

The app checks teabagbrit.com for newer releases and links to the download page. It does not silently install updates.

Twenty-four automated backend tests pass. Browser checks cover navigation, version browsing, expansion, ordering and update checks. A real ZIP backup and selected-folder restore also passed against the capture workspace. Native Windows web-installer acceptance testing remains limited; start with a small backup and restore test.

The screenshots show the actual interface connected to the backup engine using example projects; they are not native Windows desktop captures.
